財聯社2月28日電，美國國務院當地時間2月27日宣布將伊朗正式列為“支持非法拘禁的國家”（State Sponsor of Wrongful Detention），并再次呼吁所有在伊朗的美國公民立即離境，同時強調“任何美國人都不應以任何理由前往伊朗”。美國國務院表示，伊朗必須停止扣押人質行為，并釋放所有被不公正拘押的美國公民。伊朗方面目前對此暫無回應。
