美國總統特朗普3月1日接受英國媒體采訪時稱，針對伊朗的軍事行動可能還將持續4周左右。
The military strike against Iran will "take four weeks — or less," US President Donald Trump said in an exclusive phone interview with Britain's Daily Mail, the newspaper reported Sunday.

就三名美國軍人死于伊朗還擊，特朗普在佛羅里達州海湖莊園接受英國《每日郵報》記者電話采訪時稱，這是他去年開始第二個任期以來首次有美軍在相關行動中死亡，并稱“這可能還會再發生”。
The Daily Mail said Trump "broke his silence" on the first US casualties in the conflict. Three US soldiers were killed in action and five others seriously injured as part of the military operation against Iran, the US Central Command said Sunday.
Trump acknowledged the deaths were the first casualties of his second term, the report said.
特朗普同一天接受美國全國廣播公司采訪時表示，美方“預料到這樣的行動會有傷亡”。
"Sadly there will likely be more before it ends," he said of the possibility of more US casualties, saying that "that's the way it is."
特朗普對《每日郵報》記者表示，他仍對與伊朗方面開展更多對話持開放態度，但無法確認談判是否會“很快”發生。接受全國廣播公司采訪時，他稱伊朗官員有意繼續與美國對話，但拒絕透露美國是否會在外交努力期間暫停空襲。
伊朗首都德黑蘭時間2月28日上午，美國和以色列聯手對伊朗發起大規模軍事行動。伊朗隨后對美國在海灣地區的軍事基地和以色列發起還擊，一些中東國家遭到波及。
