中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平3月5日下午在參加他所在的十四屆全國人大四次會議江蘇代表團審議時強調，完成“十五五”經濟社會發展目標任務，需要應對更加復雜的環境、解決更多深層次矛盾。江蘇等經濟大省處在改革開放前沿，要在研究新情況、解決新問題上下功夫、出經驗。

這是2023年以來，習近平連續四年參加江蘇代表團審議，對江蘇提出明確要求。2023年他強調，“新征程上，江蘇要勇挑大梁、走在前列”。2024年他指出，江蘇要“更好發揮經濟大省對區域乃至全國發展的輻射帶動力”。2025年他指出，圓滿實現“十四五”發展目標，經濟大省要挑大梁。

在“十五五”開局之年來到江蘇代表團，總書記再次聚焦“經濟大省”，寄予殷殷期望。
