4月12日，知名媒體人秦楓微博發布消息稱，王石被抓。此消息一經發布迅速引發輿論熱議。不過此后，王石、田樸珺均發消息回應此事。王石稱：“看來大家比我本人還關心我的動態。一切安好，造謠者交給法律。”田樸珺稱：“這是法治社會，造謠是不需要付出代價的嗎?”隨后，田樸珺告訴新京報記者，“已去報案路上。”(新京報貝殼財經)
