對于美國總統特朗普發表的關于涉格陵蘭島的言論，毛寧表示，北極涉及國際社會的整體利益，中國在北極的活動旨在促進北極的和平穩定和可持續發展，符合國際法。各國依法在北極開展活動的權利和自由應當得到充分的尊重。美國謀取私利，不要拿其他國家當借口。
