當地時間3月31日，緬甸聯邦議會人民院的民選議員團在首都內比都召開會議，就兩名副總統候選人敏昂萊和覺瑞進行投票表決。
人民院共有263名議員，實際出席260人。根據統計，敏昂萊獲得247票支持，當選副總統，并被推選參加總統選舉。
按照緬甸憲法，緬甸總統由聯邦議會選出。(總臺記者 林曦)
