國際籃聯（FIBA）于22日正式宣布，將2031年男籃世界杯舉辦權授予法國。這將是法國歷史上首次承辦這項賽事。
比賽將于2031年8月29日至9月17日在法國三座城市舉行，分別是里昂、里爾、巴黎。決賽階段的比賽將在首都巴黎進行。
