12月19日，臺北一名男子用煙霧彈跟長刀無差別攻擊，目前已造成包括嫌犯在內3人死亡6人受傷。
歹徒先在臺北捷運丟煙霧彈，砍傷一名57歲民眾（后證實傷重不治），之后往中山站逃逸并繼續作案。最后他在警方包圍下跳樓身亡，據悉嫌犯27歲，因妨害兵役在7月被桃園檢方通緝。
