當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間1月5日，曼聯(lián)宣布主教練阿莫林下課。據(jù)跟隊(duì)記者Rich Fay消息，曼聯(lián)內(nèi)部稱解雇阿莫林的決定完全基于比賽成績，與權(quán)力爭奪無關(guān)。
曼聯(lián)內(nèi)部消息人士堅(jiān)稱，解雇決定完全基于比賽成績，而非幕后權(quán)力爭奪，也否認(rèn)阿莫林曾發(fā)出最后通牒以要求更多權(quán)力。他們表示，阿莫林在俱樂部內(nèi)部仍然獲得“一致支持”，但成績未達(dá)到預(yù)期，球隊(duì)未能展現(xiàn)出足夠的進(jìn)步或明顯的提升跡象，使阿莫林無法繼續(xù)擔(dān)任主教練。
