英國或屏蔽X？美國發出嚴厲威脅

據美國政治新聞網13日報道，圍繞英國可能屏蔽美國企業家馬斯克旗下社交媒體平臺X一事，美國負責公共外交事務的副國務卿薩拉·羅杰斯當天發出警告稱，若英國政府采取相關行動，“一切皆有可能”。

當地時間12日，英國通信管理局發布聲明稱，X平臺內置的人工智能聊天機器人“格羅克”（Grok）被濫用于生成并傳播涉及真實人物的偽造色情內容，相關情況“令人深感擔憂”。該機構已依據英國《在線安全法》對X展開正式調查，以評估其是否履行了保護英國公眾免受非法內容侵害的責任，并表示在“最嚴重情況下”不排除屏蔽該平臺的可能。

對此，羅杰斯在接受采訪時表示：“從美國的角度來看……在言論自由問題上，沒有什么是不可能的。接下來，我們將拭目以待，看看英國通信管理局會采取何種行動，以及美國將如何回應。”她指責英國政府試圖“掌控公共領域，壓制其不認同的政治觀點”，并稱這才是英國考慮封殺X的真正原因，而并非技術或安全問題，“因為其他人工智能應用程序同樣具備類似功能”。

"I would say from America's perspective ... nothing is off the table when it comes to free speech," Rogers, the under secretary of state for public diplomacy, told GB News in an interview which aired in the UK in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

"Let's wait and see what Ofcom does and we'll see what America does in response," she added.

羅杰斯進一步聲稱，X所呈現的政治傾向正是英國政府“所敵視、所不喜歡的”，并稱“這才是事情的真相”。當被問及羅杰斯的表態是否準確反映美國政府在這一問題上的官方立場時，美國駐英國大使館一名發言人回應稱：“她的言論本身就說明了一切。”

In her GB News interview Rogers accused the British government of wanting "the ability to curate a public square, to suppress political viewpoints it dislikes".

X has a "political valence that the British government is antagonistic to, doesn't like, and that's what's really going on," she added.

Asked whether Rogers' remarks accurately represent the Trump administration's stance on the issue, a spokesperson for the US embassy in London said: "Her remarks speak for themselves."

與此同時，美國方面可能采取的反制措施也逐漸顯現。據英國《每日電訊報》13日報道，美國官員已制定相關計劃，若英國通信管理局官員進入美國境內，將就其參與審查X平臺一事對其進行質詢。美方還警告稱，若英國首相斯塔默兌現封鎖X平臺的決定，美國“有權加大回應力度”，包括對相關英國官員實施旅行禁令。

At least one lawmaker aligned with Trump has also weighed in on behalf of the Elon Musk-owned platform. US Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, said last week she was drafting legislation to sanction the UK if X is banned in the country.
