當地時間3月31日18時20分左右，布隆迪經濟首都布瓊布拉傳出持續爆炸聲。根據布隆迪內政部和軍方消息，爆炸原因系國防軍一處軍營起火，引發軍火庫爆炸。軍營起火原因尚不清楚。截至發稿時，當地居民和消息人士告訴新華社記者，爆炸聲持續約兩個小時，剛剛停息。布瓊布拉市區相對平靜。 (新華社)
