當地時間2月16日，央視記者獲悉，美軍駐扎在英國皇家空軍萊肯希思基地的18架F-35A“閃電II”戰斗機在加油機群的支援下，啟程前往中東。這些戰機以三機編隊協同飛行，這是近幾個月來規模最大的單次F-35部署之一。
