3月24日，西安至十堰高速鐵路湖北段正式啟動聯調聯試，為全線開通運營奠定堅實基礎。西十高鐵西起陜西西安，穿越秦嶺山脈，終點為湖北十堰，正線全長256.938公里，設計時速350公里。建成通車后，西安至十堰可實現1小時內到達。
