當地時間3月30日，據美官員消息，美國總統特朗普向助手表示，即使霍爾木茲海峽仍大體關閉，也愿意結束對伊朗的軍事行動。
US President Donald Trump has told aides that he's willing to end the US-Israeli war with Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday night, citing Trump administration officials.
據悉，美政府官員評估認為，強行重新開放該水道將使軍事行動超出原定4至6周的時間框架。基于此，特朗普決定在實現削弱伊朗海軍及其導彈能力等主要目標后，逐步結束當前軍事行動。
Trump and his aides recently assessed that a mission to pry open the crucial global energy waterway would push the war with Iran beyond his timeline of four to six weeks, said the report.
