巴菲特：已與蓋茨斷絕聯系

據美國《財富》雜志網站3月31日報道，美國投資人沃倫·巴菲特表示，自從已故性犯罪者 愛潑斯坦 案件相關文件被公布以來，他已與微軟聯合創始人比爾·蓋茨斷絕聯系。這是巴菲特首次就此事公開表態。

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett said he has not talked to his longtime friend, Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates, since he was engulfed in a scandal over his alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

報道稱，現年95歲的巴菲特在接受美國消費者新聞與商業頻道（CNBC）采訪時表示：“自從整個事件曝光以來，我就完全沒跟他聯系過。我不想處于知曉某些情況的境地，因為那可能會讓我被傳喚作證。”他還補充說，在“事情解決之前”，自己不愿就此話題發表更多評論。

"I haven't talked to him at all since the whole thing was unveiled," Buffett told CNBC in an interview published Tuesday that included his first public comments on the Epstein files.

"I don't want to be in the position where I know things," Buffett added. "I could get called as a witness." Buffett added he did not want to say much on the topic "until things are resolved".

巴菲特強調，他從未與愛潑斯坦有任何交往，也從未見過此人。他表示，由于長期居住在內布拉斯加州奧馬哈，自己沒有機會在紐約的社交場合遇到愛潑斯坦。“如果我住在紐約、參加那些派對，或許就會遇到他。”巴菲特稱愛潑斯坦是“史上最成功的騙子之一”，并表示“難以置信有人能如此成功地行騙”。

Still, the 95-year-old said he was thankful he had never run in the same circles as the disgraced financier and had never met him.

"If I lived in New York at some party", he may have run into him, said Buffett, who has lived in Omaha, Nebraska, for more than 65 years.

《財富》指出，巴菲特與蓋茨的友誼始于1991年。此后，兩人在慈善領域密切合作，包括通過蓋茨基金會以及共同發起“捐贈誓言”倡議。自2006年以來，巴菲特已向蓋茨基金會捐贈超過430億美元，占該基金會籌款總額的近一半。近年來，兩人關系逐漸降溫：巴菲特于2021年退出蓋茨基金會董事會，并在2024年宣布撤回將其遺產捐贈給該基金會的計劃。

The friendship between two of the world's richest men began in 1991. Although Buffett and Gates later said they weren't particularly excited to meet, they hit it off immediately, leading to a decades-long friendship and close collaboration on the Gates Foundation and the Giving Pledge, which the duo founded with French Gates.

Still, in recent years, the relationship between the two billionaires has cooled. Buffett stepped down from the Gates Foundation's board in 2021. Although Buffett has reportedly donated nearly half of the Gates Foundation's funding, about $43 billion, he told the Wall Street Journal in 2024 that no more of his money would be donated to the foundation following his death.

另據美國《華爾街日報》此前報道，比爾·蓋茨2月24日曾就其與愛潑斯坦的關系向蓋茨基金會員工致歉。他承認在婚姻存續期間曾與兩名俄羅斯女性發生婚外情，但同時堅稱自己未參與愛潑斯坦的犯罪行為。
