美國(guó)正式退出世衛(wèi)組織，世衛(wèi)組織：把會(huì)費(fèi)結(jié)清！

據(jù)央視新聞，去年1月20日，美國(guó)總統(tǒng)特朗普簽署行政命令，宣布美國(guó)退出世衛(wèi)組織，聯(lián)合國(guó)于同年1月22日收到這一通知。

根據(jù)世衛(wèi)組織章程，成員國(guó)在提交退出申請(qǐng)一年后方可正式退出。今天，美國(guó)正式向聯(lián)合國(guó)提交退出世衛(wèi)組織申請(qǐng)滿一年，這意味著美國(guó)在程序上已正式退出世衛(wèi)組織。

The United States is set to formally withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO) in January. On his first day back in the White House on Jan 20, 2025, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to withdraw the country from the WHO. The United Nations received the formal notice two days later.

Under the organization's charter, the withdrawal takes effect one year after notice is given.

世衛(wèi)組織發(fā)言人林德邁爾日前明確表示，美國(guó)有權(quán)退出，但前提是必須結(jié)清此前拖欠的全部會(huì)費(fèi)。目前，美國(guó)尚未支付2024年和2025年度應(yīng)繳款項(xiàng)，兩年合計(jì)約2.6億美元。該問題已被正式列入即將召開的世衛(wèi)組織執(zhí)行委員會(huì)會(huì)議議程。

The United States has reserved its right to withdraw from WHO, but any withdrawal can only take place if it first fulfills its financial obligations for the current fiscal year, a WHO spokesman said Friday.

Christian Lindmeier, the spokesman, made the remarks in response to a media query as the United States is set to formally withdraw from the WHO in January.

"When it joined WHO, the United States of America reserved its right to withdraw from the organization on a one-year notice, provided, however, that the financial obligations of the United States to the organization shall be met in full for the organization's current fiscal year," said the spokesman.

Lindmeier said the United States had currently not paid its invoiced amounts for assessed contributions for 2024 to 2025. According to the WHO, the US owes the organization 260.6 million US dollars in dues for 2024 and 2025.
