現年72歲的TVB資深綠葉李楓在2020年與TVB約滿之后就選擇離巢，淡出了娛樂圈。由于是綠葉的關系，她退出后就很少有媒體關注她，但畢竟在TVB活躍了幾十年，不少電視觀眾對她的印象一直很深刻。特別是她的外在特征很明顯，就是一副很犀利的樣子，就更為觀眾所記憶。在李楓淡出娛樂圈5年后，難得有她的消息曝光，原來她已經搬進養老院兩年多了，并且在院內生活愉快，比起從前拍戲的時候還圓潤了不少。

息影多年的李楓罕見露臉，她并沒有出席活動，而是在養老院的生活狀況通過視頻被曝光。從視頻可見，她在養老院內高聲唱粵劇，聲音洪亮，狀態極佳，不知情的還以為李楓在養老院送暖獻唱。實際上她就是養老院的中的一員，每天趁著閑暇的時候，在院內與院友唱粵劇，生活多姿多彩。多年后再見到李楓，她的身材圓潤了不少，而因為發福了，整個人的面相也變得和善了不少，少了從前在TVB拍戲時的犀利，看來李楓在養老院生活得還不錯。

李楓在2020年離巢TVB的時候也就67歲，沒想就已經搬進養老院生活了。實際上李楓在2022年的時候就已經入住了養老院，算下來在院內已經生活了快四年的時間了。在養老院，李楓住的是獨立房間，環境還不錯，而且私隱度很高，所以她早就已經住習慣了。對于那么“年輕”就住進養老院，李楓稱并不是晚景凄涼，而是自己的選擇，她表示在這里生活雖然稱不上豐衣足食，但是有三餐溫飽，就已經讓她很感激了。

李楓那么年輕就搬進養老院生活，大概也有她的不得已。在生活上她不富貴，而且她一直愧對子女，為了不打擾子女的正常生活，她才選擇搬進來。李楓曾經有過一段婚姻，起初一家人的生活富貴，住在九肚山的豪宅，后來因為老公沉迷炒股，欠下了一屁股的債，李楓為了給老公還債，全家由豪宅搬到了村屋生活，甚至還要變賣嫁妝，最后還在1995年離婚收場。

離婚后李楓靠在TVB拍戲養活子女，不過她與子女的關系并不是太好，她自曝從前有錢的時候，自己沒有當一個稱職的母親，每天都想吃喝玩樂，打牌聚會，要不就去拍戲，所以對子女疏于照顧，子女有那么一段時間很忌恨她。雖然如今親子關系算是緩和了，但是李楓一直很內疚，所以她才決定在退休后搬進養老院。

而李楓是在年過70歲之后才住進養老院的，過了70歲之后住養老院有政府資助，兒子再分擔一部分的費用，自己每個月又有水果錢，生活就不愁吃喝了。而且在養老院生活還有其他老人家陪伴，她可以唱粵劇，生活也算是豐富多彩，對此她沒有任何抱怨，完全不覺得自己是晚景凄涼。

李楓在1975年就加入了無線藝訓班，是第五期的學員，1976年畢業之后她就正式入行發展，不過一開始并沒有加入TVB，而是在電影圈內打滾，直到1995年離婚之后才正式在TVB拍戲。在TVB拍戲多年，李楓的戲份大多都是配角，而且多以出演一些喜歡搬弄是非的師奶角色為主，而她在劇中又總是一副很犀利的嘴臉，這個形象就更令人難忘。李楓曾經離巢TVB在亞視、香港電視拍戲，但時間都很短，后來又折返了TVB一直到2020年才決定退休。而自從家道中落之后，她的生活一直都比較清貧，退休后住進養老院也是最好的選擇。
