美國國內的撕裂延燒至意大利米蘭冬奧會，美國總統特朗普大罵美國奧運滑雪運動員赫斯，中國滑雪選手谷愛凌就此表態。

Gu Ailing has weighed in on Donald Trump's attack on Hunter Hess after the freeskier said he was ambivalent about representing the US during the president's immigration crackdown.

據英國《衛報》報道，中國滑雪選手谷愛凌9日被問及特朗普對赫斯的批評時說：“我很遺憾，搶走奧運會風頭的竟然是這么與奧運會的精神毫不相關的事情。這真的與奧運會的宗旨背道而馳。”

"I'm sorry that the headline that is eclipsing the Olympics has to be something so ... unrelated to the spirit of the Games," said Gu. "It really runs contrary to everything that the Olympics should be."

她還說：“體育運動的意義就在于將人們團結在一起。它是為數不多的共通語言之一，它連接著人類的身體、精神、競爭精神，以及打破紀錄的能力，尤其是在我們這項運動中，它更是挑戰人類的極限。這難道不美妙嗎？”

US President Donald Trump said Sunday that it's "very hard to root for someone" like "loser" Team USA freestyle skier Hunter Hess, who last week told reporters that he has "mixed emotions" about representing the US at the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy.

《衛報》稱，赫斯6日在新聞發布會上被問及，在當前美國國內形勢背景下——包括美國移民與海關執法局（ICE）在明尼蘇達州的移民執法行動及多起地緣政治危機——代表美國參加奧運會有何感受。

Hess was asked in a press conference on Friday what it was like to represent the US in the Olympics given the current situation in the country, which has included ICE raids in Minnesota and a number of geopolitical crises.

赫斯表示，“顯然現在發生了很多我并不完全認同的事，我想很多人也是如此。對我來說，我更多的是代表家鄉的朋友和家人，代表那些在我之前代表這個國家的人，以及我所認同的美國積極的一面。”“我身披國旗，并不意味著我代表美國正在發生的一切。”

這一事件在社交媒體上引發網友爭議。有美國網友表示：“對于此刻代表美國參賽的任何運動員來說，處境都很艱難。”↓

At the same press conference, Team USA freestyle skier Chris Lillis also expressed mixed emotions in response to the same question.

"I feel heartbroken about what's happening in the United States," Lillis said, in part. "I think that as a country, we need to focus on respecting everybody's rights and making sure that we're treating our citizens, as well as anybody, with love and respect. I hope that when people look at athletes competing in the Olympics, they realize that's the America that we're trying to represent."

ICE人員上月在明尼蘇達州明尼阿波利斯市接連槍殺蕾恩·古德和亞歷克斯·普雷蒂這兩名美國公民。從“古德之死”到“普雷蒂之死”，在相距不到兩公里的地方，相隔17天，美國聯邦執法部門接連奪去兩條人命，引發美國國內大規模抗議甚至暴力沖突。
