Government should protect culture. Therefore, some people believe that new buildings should be built in traditional styles. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Such demands can by no means be met by traditional designs. For instance, in neither way can a traditional courtyard house accommodate the density requirements of a megacity or integrate the solar panels and green roofs essential for carbon neutrality. Conceptually, architecture is more of a dynamic art form, reflecting contemporary values and aspirations. Forcing all new buildings into a historical mold, nonetheless, denies future generations the opportunity to create their own cultural landmarks.

A more effective strategy lies in a balanced approach that preserves cultural essence while embracing modernity, ensuring that culture evolves dynamically rather than being frozen in time.
