1月20日，總臺記者獲悉，兩名加拿大政府高級官員表示，加拿大武裝部隊已經模擬了美國對加拿大的軍事入侵以及加拿大可能做出的回應。
據信，這是加拿大武裝部隊一個世紀以來首次模擬美國對該國的攻擊，而加拿大是北大西洋公約組織的創始成員國，也是美國大陸防空系統的合作伙伴。
