美國政府首次回應“斬殺線”

據@玉淵譚天 消息，當地時間1月20日，美國財政部長貝森特在世界經濟論壇年會現場舉辦公開活動，并在現場回應了美國“斬殺線”困境。

When asked about the "kill line", a gaming term describing the harsh reality in the US where a job loss, medical emergency, or unexpected bill could push an ordinary person from stability into destitution almost overnight, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent attributed the phenomenon to the Biden administration. He made the remarks on Tuesday at the 2026 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum.

貝森特表示，拜登政府執政期間，他們（低收入家庭）最關心的食品、雜貨、房租等都上漲了35%到37%，我們每天都在想辦法把它降下來，如果你回看特朗普總統的第一任期，會發現時薪工人比管理層生活得更好，我相信你所描述的家庭，將會收到一筆可觀的退稅。

According to Bessent, under the Biden administration, the cost of essentials like groceries and rent that matter most to low-income families has risen by 35 to 37 percent. "We are working every day to bring those costs down. If you look back to President Trump's first term, hourly workers did better than supervisory workers. I believe the households you described will receive substantial tax refunds," said Bessent.

貝森特提到的退稅是指美國《大而美法案》規定在2026年增加給美國民眾的退稅，但事實上美國稅務專家指出，退稅主要利好中高收入人群，低收入家庭很難拿到這筆錢，無法直接解決“斬殺線”困境。

“斬殺線”本是指游戲中玩家角色血條的血量低于某條線時，就隨時可能被擊殺。現在被用來指代美國社會中的一種殘酷現實：普通人一旦收入和儲蓄跌破某個水平，一個小小的意外都可能讓他立即陷入死局。
