1月30日，據(jù)梅賽德斯-奔馳消息，新一代梅賽德斯-奔馳S級轎車全球首秀。據(jù)介紹，新車車身更大，長軸距版本車長5304mm；發(fā)光格柵尺寸增加20%，首創(chuàng)前排安全帶加熱，首次采用發(fā)光立標(biāo)。奔馳方面稱該車最全面改款，超50%的部件全新開發(fā)或優(yōu)化升級。
