本周我們學(xué)習(xí)和偷懶摸魚(yú)相關(guān)的詞匯

1. slack/sl?k/

v. 疏忽;懈怠;松勁

常見(jiàn)搭配：slack off 偷懶[較為口語(yǔ)化, 帶有一定貶義]

e.g. The students started to slack off when the teacher left the classroom.

e.g. Our sales team can’t afford to slack off during the peak season.

n. slacker 偷懶的人

e.g. My colleague is a total slacker, but he somehow never gets caught.

e.g. Everyone slacks off sometimes, but being a chronic slacker is another story.

2. loaf/l??f/

v. 游手好閑；無(wú)所事事地閑逛

搭配：loaf around [輕松的口語(yǔ)化表達(dá)]

e.g. He spent the whole afternoon loafing around instead of studying.

e.g. I love weekends because I can just loaf around at home.

syn. laze around 側(cè)重于有意識(shí)地放松或休息，非偷懶逃避職責(zé)。

e.g. They were lazing around on the beach, enjoying the sunshine.

e.g. There’s nothing wrong with lazing around sometimes.

3. motion/'m???(?)n/

n. 行動(dòng);手勢(shì);動(dòng)作

搭配：go through the motions 做做樣子；走過(guò)場(chǎng)

e.g. He’s just going through the motions at work — he’s lost all motivation.

e.g. The students went through the motions of listening, but no one was really paying attention.

4. token/'t??k(?)n/

adj. 象征性的；裝樣子的

搭配：

a token effort 象征性地努力[實(shí)際上敷衍了事]

give a token response 做樣子回應(yīng)一下

a token apology 象征性地道歉

e.g. He only made a token apology — you could tell he didn’t mean it.

e.g. They made a token effort to clean up before the guests arrived.

e.g. She smiled and gave a token response, but her mind was elsewhere.

5. perfunctory /p?'f??(k)t(?)r?/

adj .敷衍的；潦草的；馬馬虎虎的

搭配：a perfunctory smile/nod敷衍的微笑/點(diǎn)頭

e.g. He gave a perfunctory nod and walked away.

e.g. His inspection of the factory seemed perfunctory — he didn’t check anything carefully.

adv. perfunctorily

e.g. The teacher perfunctorily checked the assignments, barely reading them.

e.g. The manager perfunctorily responded to our suggestions, giving no real feedback.
