喜報 | 啟明星學生在2024年NHSDLC美式辯論線上賽奪冠

近日，NHSDLC美式辯論賽舉辦春季線上賽，啟明星9年級學生林子朔和來自友校的學生組隊，在公開組比賽中奪下冠軍！

賽程歷時2天，分成多場進行，共有來自上海、北京、深圳等地的多所國際和私立學校的約200名學生參加。辯手如果在稍早場次獲勝，那么，在接下來的場次就會遇到越來越強大的對手。林子朔組連贏7場，比賽難度一直在增加，過程很是激烈！

林子朔作為啟明星英文辯論校隊的隊長，多次闖入NHSDLC美式辯論聯賽決賽，這次比賽是他首次奪冠。

他反思說，此次獲勝的原因是他在賽前做了大量調研，從而能夠對賽中應用的數據進行合理解釋，并對正反方辯稿都做出了充分準備。整場比賽下來，自己的賽中辯論和最后的總結能力大幅提升。

林子朔說，打辯論是很享受的一件事，一上來就要面對瓶頸期，需要大量調研，立即提升口語表達能力和敘事和邏輯，很令人興奮。不僅如此，辯論是團隊項目，同學之間密切配合，相互學習，能夠建立深厚的友誼！

“辯論賽的辯題和社會發展熱點緊密聯系，練習辯論可以幫助你拓展眼界，接觸平時并不會接觸到的世界，所以，辯論也是一個幫助個人成長的過程！”林子朔說。他還透露，啟明星辯論校隊下一學年計劃擴大隊伍，初級校隊會招募新隊員，歡迎感興趣的同學給子朔發郵件！

The NHSDLC 2024 Online Tournament VII was recently held. Daystar Grade 9 student Tony Lin teamed up with a student from ISB and won the championship in the open division!

The entire tournament lasted 2 days, with multiple rounds. About 200 participants from international and private schools in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen took part. If the debaters won in the earlier rounds, they would face even stronger opponents in the later rounds. Tony Lin’s team won 7 consecutive rounds, so the difficulty level kept increasing, and the process was very intense!

Tony Lin is captain of the Daystar English Debate Team, and has reached the NHSDLC finals multiple times. This time was his first championship win.

He reflected that the reason for his victory was that he had done a lot of research before the competition, allowing him to provide reasonable explanations for the data used during the debate, and he was well-prepared for both the affirmative and negative arguments. His in-debate debating and final summary skills have also greatly improved.

Tony said that debating is a very enjoyable activity. Because at the beginning, one has to face bottlenecks and needs to do a lot of research, immediately improving one's oral expression, narration and logic abilities, which is very exciting. Moreover, debate is a team event, and during the debate process, teammates collaborate closely, learn from each other, and can establish deep friendships!

"The debate topics are closely related to social development issues, practicing debate can help expand your horizons, expose you to the world that you normally don't get to encounter, and is also a process that helps personal growth!" Tony said. He also revealed that the Daystar English Debate Team plans to expand its team next school year, and the junior team will recruit new members.
