5月,啟明星6至10年級學(xué)生踏上了2024年創(chuàng)新之旅。
作為社會(huì)創(chuàng)新項(xiàng)目與課堂延展性學(xué)習(xí)的一部分,也和IB課程體系及學(xué)校核心價(jià)值緊密相連,所以創(chuàng)新之旅通過直接的活動(dòng),培養(yǎng)和促進(jìn)學(xué)生掌握實(shí)踐知識和技能,為他們搭建和大自然、社區(qū)等現(xiàn)實(shí)世界之間的橋梁。
另外,11年級學(xué)生也將在6月下旬前往泰國,參加CAS項(xiàng)目,完成他們的創(chuàng)新之旅。
6年級:秦皇島

10年級:瑤琳

學(xué)生們參加領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力和團(tuán)建游戲,研究山林無痕,在竹林間徒步,也體驗(yàn)了搭建帳篷、野外烹飪和露營的樂趣。他們也嘗試了巖壁攀巖和溶洞探險(xiǎn),學(xué)習(xí)了戶外急救課程。

At the beginning of May, Daystar's 6th-10th graders embarked on the 2024 Inno-Trips.
The Innovation-Trips, are parts of the Social Innovation program and extended learning system, and closely linked to the IB curriculum system and the Daystar’s Core Values. It fosters and promotes students' mastery of practical knowledge and skills through application scenarios and builds bridges between them and the real world with a focus on nature and society.
In addition, Grade 11 students will travel to Thailand in late June to participate in the CAS program to complete their Innovation Trip.
Grade 6: Qinhuangdao

Students went kayaking, camping, and played attack-defense arrow games and stump challenges. They also went hiking on the Great Wall at Banchangyu, strolled through the ancient city of Shanhaiguan, and researched the local culture in teams!

Grade 7: Luoyang

Students visited the Erlitou Summer Capital Ruins Museum, Nanshishan Village, the Shaolin Temple, and the Dragon Gate Grottoes. They also explored Luoyi Ancient City while wearing hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing). While visiting all these exciting places, they also learned about pottery restoration and tried their hand at making Tang Sancai. When they went tothe Yellow River Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub Project, students learned about the Yellow River's way of treating sand and the importance of it! ......

Grade 8: Taishan
![]()
Grade 8 students visited a famous Taoist shrine — the Dai Temple, took a hike through the Medicine Township Forest Park, and went to an organic farm to participate in community service. Along the way, students learned so many skills! They visited the Shadow Museum to experience the art of shadow puppetry, learned how to make homemade tofu and Shandong Taishan flower cakes, participated in mural painting at Fuyangzhuang, and enjoyed the “Chinese Taishan Offering Ceremony” performance. They also experienced a game of pill pounding (also known as Chinese Golf) and had a great time playing water sports at the beach!

Grade 9: Inner Mongolia

Students experienced the scenery of Inner Mongolia through walking through the Xilamuren Grassland and hiking in the Yinkentara Desert, where they learned about sandboarding and tree planting activities. Later on, they practiced archery and wrestling. Meanwhile indoors, Students stepped into a traditional Mongolian yurt to enjoy the charm of the local culture and conducted a service project in a herder's home. While in Hohhot, they visited the Hohhot School for the Disabled to learn from students there. All this activity worked up an appetite – students not only tasted Mongolian specialties, but also had their own cooking competition!

Grade 10: Yaolin

Students participated in leadership and fellowship games all while experiencing the beautiful scenery of Yaolin. They learned how to navigate through mountains and forests without leaving harmful traces, hiked through bamboo forests, participated in rock climbing and cave exploring activities, and went through a wilderness first aid course. After all of these exciting events, students then had a fun time setting up tents, sharpening their cooking skills, and camping under the stars!
