據日本廣播協會(NHK)報道，當地時間8日晚間，日本眾議院選舉結果陸續揭曉，NHK出口民調顯示，自民黨在本次眾議院選舉中有可能單獨獲得遠超半數233席的300席，現任首相高市早苗預計會繼續執政。
報道稱，自民黨與日本維新會組成的執政聯盟預計將獲得310席，占到眾議院席位總數的三分之二。相比之下，在野黨方面，由立憲民主黨和公明黨組成的新黨“中道改革聯盟”席位，可能從選前的172席大幅減半。
